Additional Interview in DC

Silhouettes of Service is the latest BCKSEET Productions commission and is currently in development at the University of North Carolina in collaboration with Veteran Center of the Performing Arts (VCPA). While preparing for a semester long character study of Shakespeare's Coriolanus at UNC, Gregory DeCandia has set on a research mission to seek the true meaning to serve one’s country. With a focus on his current state of residence, North Carolina, which is incidentally the "Nation's Most Military Friendly State," DeCandia will speak with both the men and women who serve  - as well as to the people who surround them, who, in a way, share their sacrifice. These conversations will then be transcribed and arranged into a solo documentary theater piece under the direction of VCPA Artistic Director Stephan Wolfert. Silhouettes of Service will shed light on the sacrifice made by the brave 1% who protect the remaining 99% of the US public.
